Add Gtalk inside your Orkut page

Now Google Talk is integrated within Orkut, it will be above ( my friends) as (Show Gtalk) which is shown below, it also support for multi-user conference.

This hack is not compatible with Internet Explorer since it uses Greasemonkey, a Firefox Add-on. If you want to enjoy this and countless other hacks then Switch to Firefox

See the following steps:-
1) You will be needing macromedia flash for this script Download macromedia flash
2) Download Firefox if you don’t have it.
3) From your firefox page itself Install Greasemonkey. After you install Greasemonkey successfully then you will see its icon on bottom right-hand side of your firefox page.

4) Now Install the Script of Gtalk inside your Orkut page Click Here from firefox page

Google maps on Orkut

Now Google has finally implemented their map in Orkut. On the maps, you can see where your Orkut friends are located Currently this is mostly used by Brazilians.
You can also click on the "tiny little blue men" to see your friends' locations. By clicking on one of these figures, a bubble will pop open to let you know which friend lives in that location as shown under.

This is still in its beta release as it’s not implemented for all the countries. So currently everyone will not be able to use the Google maps feature in orkut. We can expect Google’s Orkut team to add more features to it very soon. Google was always lacking in Social Networking area and look like Orkut is the answer to all problem. May be soon we will be able to see our areas (India) as well.

Now those who wants to check if its working in your country then just follow these steps:-

1. Login in your Orkut Account.
2. Click the "view friends" link in the "my friends" box on your orkut homepage (right-hand side).
3. Click the "friends map" tab at the top of the page.

You can click on a friend’s profile picture to see their location on the map. Please know that if we don't have map data for a particular region or if your friend chose not to put their location in their orkut profile, you'll see a message "(not on map)" below their profile name. As shown below.

• Replace the value after uid%3D with your orkut userID ( what is userID ? Login to your orkut account and click on your profile itself. You will get your orkut id on the address bar. Like http://www.orkut.co.in/Profile.aspx?uid=15934819123053616540 in my case. So 15934819123053616540 is my unique userID )
• You have to register for an account in mytoday.com To register, sms REG yourCityName to 09845398453
• You will Receive your password immediately,Now Go to mytoday.com and Log in with your mobile number and password.
• To get scraps as SMS >> Go to Feed Management Page >> Go to “Add Feed” >> In the “name” field put “scraps” and in the “URL” field put
• http://www.orkutfeeds.com/feed.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.orkut.com%2FScrapbook.aspx%3Fuid%3DYOURUID

Limitations:

• Scraps/emails sent to you via sms are 5-6 hours late.
• The word limit is 71. So you wont get to read the full scrap/email if it exceeds 71 words.
• This Hack wont work if your scrapbook is locked or Blog set as private.
• This whole trick/process is for Indian cell users only.
• If You are using email services which don’t provide ( hotmail/live mail, zapak, rediff, indiatimes ) mail forwarding options ; you can’t read them in your mobile.
• The emails that you are auto forwarding to blogger.com must be less than 10 MB in size.
