Orkut Privacy Settings Got More Secured : Now You Can Select People Who Can Send You Friend Requests

This is been very irritating to see a huge no of friend request on your orkut homepage each day. Specially the girls get several requests from unknown people. Well, it's cool that Orkut privacy system allowed us to block other people from scrapping us, but they did not do anything about these friend requests.

But now they are up with this much awaited system. Practically you can choose the people who can send you friend requests. In other words, now you can stop anyone from sending you friendship requests.

Well, as of now you can restrict these below three groups from sending you requests.

• Only friends of friends.
• Only people who can confirm your email address.
• Only users from certain countries.

Here's how you can set up your friend request restrictions:

1. Click settings on the left sidebar of your orkut profile.
2. Go to the Privacy Tab.
3. In the 'friend request privacy' section, select anyone who fits the following selected options.
4. Check as many boxes as you wish.
5. Don't forget to click save changes.
