How to download and save anyone's Orkut Profile Picture and use that as your own photo

OOOPS....This trick is not working anymore. Recently Orkut Changed It's code. So, wait till I find another trick to download and save any orkut user's profile picture ;)

Few times we can't remove our eye from someone's orkut profile picture. We find them very interesting and cool. And also, sometimes we want to use them as our orkut profile picture. But if we save that picture, by right clicking on that picture and choosing the option 'SAVE IMAGE AS', we end up having a very small image which is good for nothing.

But we have to keep this in mind that ORKUT resizes the images automatically. So, there is no chance to get a high quality or better output from those pics. So, how to do this?

This is pretty simple if you can catch the source elements of that page. Now let me describe how to do that.

• Go to the Orkut user's profile whose display picture you want to copy.
• Right click on that page, and choose the option 'View Page Source'.
• Now press CTRL+F on your keyboard.
• That will pop up a search box.
• In that search box enter the word 'style=”background-image:'. [Don't include "" marks]
• Now a line will be highlighted and that should look like this : style=”background-image: url(http://img3.orkut.com/images/medium/120253661440/764513644.jpg);
• Copy that image URL from that line. For instance, in the above line the image URL is http://img3.orkut.com/images/medium/120253661440/764513644.jpg.
• Paste that URL in your browser's address bar and hit enter.
• Now you will see that exact picture that you wanted to copy and use as your orkut display picture.
• Copy that image by right clicking on that image and choosing the 'SAVE IMAGE AS' option.
